DIY Farmhouse PIllows | Easy Tutorial to Making Farmhouse Pillow Covers

Farmhouse Pillows are all the rage and if you find the right fabric you can make one or many that are affordable.  My sister found the fabric at a local fabric store and after one night of sewing we made these simple DIY farmhouse pillow covers.  Pillows add a nice touch per season and these are perfect for spring.

Here is What you Need:
  • Fabric in a size that you desire ( I bought a yard for a 20x20 pillow)
  • Pillow insert (you may find these at any fabric store or IKEA has pillow inserts that are affordable)
  • Multi-Purpose Thread in matching fabric
  • Zipper in a matching fabric
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Iron

First, that your fabric and cut your desire length you may do this by measuring out the dimensions.

Next, sew all 3 sides either by hand or with a sewing machine using the matching fabric.

Now take the seam that you sewed and iron it to give it a nice line.

Next take you zipper and sewn onto the 4th side.

Take your iron and give it a good press and insert your pillow insert.  Walla you have an affordable farmhouse pillow!
