Teen Boy's Bedroom Closet | Organization and Declutter

Ugh, the dreaded Teen Boy's closet it needed a major clean out and organization.  I keep things simple because my son is still growing and changing his personality plus we still needed an over due renovation that may not happen for a couple of months and I may organize the closet again!

With all organizational projects I like to pull everything out, get a couple large boxes/bags, make decisions quickly and divide into 3 categories .

• Donate
• Trash
• Keep

In the trash bag I throw out stained up clothes, broken toys, missing games, wrappers of any sorts, broken items that I cannot figure out where it belongs.

Clothing that we keep we make sure it fits and my son loves it if not we donate it.  If clothing needs to be repaired or altered I put in a separate bag.

When organizing my son's clothing I put the less frequently stuff he wears in the back of the closet such as dress shirts, pants and suits.  If my son has not worn the items of clothing in over a year we donate to make extra room for new clothing.

Finally, my son's closet stores our family games, his Nerf guns, basketballs and battery operated cars/trucks.
