My Impressions on the Book "Lessons frrom Madame Chic" | A Book Review

I just finish reading the book "Lessons from Madame Chic" by Jennifer L. Scott and I found it interesting on her experiences while living in Paris.  Jennifer wrote about opinions and interpretation while living abroad in Paris and how things were very different than living in sunny California.  She went on to explain how the French live, dress, entertain, shop and eat.  I felt like the book gave me a glimpse of Paris and how to behave and what to expect if I ever visit.  Jennifer wrote on being a foreigner and how she felt different from the French however, she gave examples of why and how she changed when she came back to the states.  A lot of the the lessons she learned in Paris were manners and etiquette that have been forgotten here in the states.  For Example, Jennifer talked about when someone goes to a baby shower or the theater in Paris they do not wear jeans they dress up for respect and honor, however here in the US we have no problem wearing jeans.  Another example, is people in France love to entertain and have people over to their homes all the while using their best things and the finest food they can afford on their budget.  In Paris entertaining is a art and express regularly.  Here in the states we stress and worry and never have company if we can help it.  In Paris they do not consume as much as we do here in the USA they only have the best in their closets and home and get rid of the rest that they do not love and no longer serves it purpose.  It is interesting to me that when Jennifer was writing about the lessons she learned in Paris and how she was affected that it got me to wonder why do we not live like the French theses are all lessons we should have instilled in our bodies; dress our best, lose the clutter and cherish entertaining!  Thanks Jennifer for writing this book and putting life into prospective on what is important and how to live more stylish!
