I rediscovered Hydrogen Peroxide several years ago while on a mission to find all natural and save cleaning alternatives.
I had no clue peroxide was great at cleaning. I thought the only thing you could use hydrogen peroxide on was cleaning a scrap or cut boy, did I get a wakeup call!
Here is my Top 5 cleaning around the house uses for Hydrogen Peroxide.
1.) Toothbrushes, every month I fill a disposable cup with peroxide and set our tooth brushes inside for about 30 minutes to remove viruses and bacteria. I sometime do it more when sickness is in our home.
2.) Bathroom Grout, I use hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle with 50% peroxide and 50% water and after each shower/bath I spray down my grout with the solution to kills germs, prevent mildew and to whiten it!!!
3.) Lunchboxes and Refrigerator, I take the same spray bottle and spray my kids lunch boxes and refrigerator down and wipe away with a damp cloth to remove all germs, bacteria and whatever else is lurking.
4.) Pots and Pans, I take the 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% baking soda and make a solution that has a creamy consistently and scrub on my pots and pans that have caked on food.
5.) Plants, This use of hydrogen peroxide I could have never imagine. I live in a humid area with 4 seasons. Some of my outdoor plants get diseases such as fungus. I take a spray bottle and put 25% peroxide and 75% water and spray on all my plants outside. Disease does not exist anymore and my plants look lovely.
