How to Speed Clean your Home in 30 Minutes before Guest Arrive

Oh no, out of town guest just called and will be over in 30 minutes.  The guest have not seen you in years and this is an opportunity to reunite and laugh but, first order of business the house must be cleaned.

You have 30 minutes and the timer is set, divide and conquer is the game:

Take 5 minutes in your front entry way-

Remove all dust and debris by a vacuum and/or broom.  Put away extra coats and shoes to provide room for your guest items.

Moving in the the Living Room and I spend 5 minutes-

With a microfiber cloth I dusted all visible surfaces such as tables, shelves and picture frames.  Finally, fluff pillow and store blankets away.

Next, I spent 10 minutes in the kitchen wiping down all counters with multi-counter spray.  I clean the sink with "Bars Keeper" , spot clean the stove, clean the microwave and toaster oven.

Finally, the last 10 minutes is spent in the bathroom where I clean the mirrors with glass cleaner.  I clean the counters and toilet with Lysol Wipes.  Finally, don't forget to take the trash out and clean the light switches.

Spring Cleaning the Living Space | Deep Clean the Living & Dining Room

Well, spring is here even though it does not feel like it here in Michigan.  With snow on the ground and still staying indoors one thing is still on my mind; Spring Cleaning.  It is a great feeling to clean everything after a long winter however it is a dreaded chore that must be done!  To deal with this dreaded task of Spring Cleaning I gave myself one hour to do some serious cleaning and here is the list of what I accomplished.

*Ceiling Fans-I dust these blades often but they need a good cleaning with warm water and soap because of the grime build up.

*  Windows

* Couches-I like to clean with my vacuum in all the crevices and give a good wiped down with a leather cleaner.

* Linens

*  Wipe down Walls

*  Deep Clean the Wood Dining Table

*  Clean remotes and TV Screen with a soft wipe and gentle cleaning spray.

Extreme Cleaning the Kitchen | Speed Cleaning the Kitchen | Cleaning Motivation!!!

When doing a speed clean of an area remove all distractions and decide what needs to be clean.  When deciding what to clean in your speed clean write out a list to stay on track by setting a timer for 1 hour.  In speed cleaning I like to clean areas that are used the most such as kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, etc.  Work from the top to bottom so you do not miss anything and have all your cleaning supplies within arms reach.  To speed clean faster; clean in a cluster in that one area such as the list I provide below, the cluster is within the room and very close from each other such are refrigerator and toaster oven!

1.)  Clean Silverware and Utensil Drawer out.  49:35
2.)  Clean out Fridge and Freezer.  7:17
3.)  Clean the Toaster over and the area around it.  3:27
4.)  Load and Unload the Dishwasher
