Salads I think add color and texture to any meal and a nature way to be sure you are getting your servings of fruits and vegetables that are needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Before assembling your salad make sure all your greens are cleaned, washed and dry!
In a large bowl add the following.
- 4 cups of romaine
- 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 red onion; sliced
- 1 medium cucumber; sliced
- 1/2 medium of yellow, red or green pepper; chopped
- 1 carrot; chopped
- 1 celery stalked; chopped
- 1/2 cup of shredded sharp cheese
- 1 tomato; chopped
Now in 4-6 separate bowls, separate the salad. Serve salads immediately or chill in refrigerate. Finally, you can serve with your favorite dressing.
