How to Set Achievable Goals this Year

Setting goals is easy, such as wanting to lose weight, exercising, eating healthily, etc.  The hardest part of setting goals is believing in ourselves, we can be our own enemy.  Believing that we can reach the end result which is the goal is scary.  We believe we cannot achieve the goal because we do not have a clear path on how to attain the goal.  It is essential that we just do not set goals but, we think of the tasks that help to accomplish the goal.  Your Goals need to be in lined with how you spending your day.  How is achieve our goals plan in our weekly, monthly and yearly calendars.  Your goals need to be planned into your calendar in order for them to be achieved.

Here are some steps for the upcoming year to help you achieve your goals:

1.  Think positive, no matter what the outcome.  Be clear on the purpose of your goal, why are you wanting to achieve this goal, how will this goal if achieve make you feel, look and move.  If your result is negative look at what was positive, dust yourself off and reevaluate.  If you think positive over and over you will begin to believe in yourself often.  Retrain your brain to believe you can do anything, losing 10 pounds, exercising 4-5 days a week, or reading through the bible in a year.  If a negative thoughts enters your mind rephrase it to positive one.

2.  Be visual in your goals,  I am a visual person so write your goals down, create a vision/dream board or simply close your eyes and image you achieving your goals.  If you are visual with your goals they will become a reality.  With a visual of your goals you be constantly reminded of your goals, and you will began to trick your mind to believe anything is possible.  Be clear in your vision on how achieve your goals make you feel emotionally, mentally and physically.

3.  Keep a journal of your goals,  list all achievements and show gratitude on what you are thankful for.  Sometimes our goals do not go as plan; do not dwell on what did not work, journal on what did!  If the goal is not working as planned, after careful reflection it maybe time to move on.  By writing down what you are grateful for will empowered you to believe what did not work out is still achievable or time to move on.  When journaling be clear on your goals making sure your morals and values line up along with making sure your goal is your own goal and no one else's. Finally, what you have accomplished: celebrate your accomplishments.

Just remember to feel like a human being we all need goals.  Every one's goals are not the same, goals give us purpose.  Purpose to know the direction in which we want to live our lives.  When  you know your direction we gain control of our lives and this is very exciting.

Let me know your Goals: big or small!  Maybe you can help me achieve mine and I can do the same back.
