DIY Hair Flowers

These adorable Satin Flowers were super easy and fun to make.  I prepped a lot of it and had my Girl Scouts do the choosing and sewing.

Materials:
  • satin scraps material in desire color
  • matching thread
  • needle
  • matching color in felt
  • card stock
  • scissors to cut material
  • Desire center; pearls, button, jewel, stone, etc.
  • metal hair clip
  • Pencil
  • crayon
  • lighter and candle

Instructions:
1. First, on card stock trace or draw circles in varies sizes; you will need 3
2. Next, take your crayon and trace the circle on to the satin fabric

3.  Now take scissors and cut varies circles out.

4.  Light your candle and carefully around your satin circle burn to seal the ends.

5.  Stack your circles smallest to large, with the large on bottom.  Thread needle and sew the center to secure all the circles.

6.  Heat glue gun and glue your desire center.

 7.  Now take your desire color felt and draw or trace a circle just big enough to cover back.  Make a small slight in the center of the felt circle.
8.  Take metal hair clip and place inside slit.  Use the hot glue and glue back to back.
Finally, flip around and wear these adorable hair flowers to your next event.
