Simple Summer Decorating on the Dime | Summer Farmhouse Entryway

First, in any space I am redecorating, organizing or refreshing I love to de-clutter, and give the area a  good cleaning.  I de-cluttered all the winter items and added some summer components such as flip flop, rain boots, sun hat and light coats along with pillows.

2nd, I thought add a light and neutral window dressing would give the space more breeze and calm feeling.  I purchase all 4 of these panels at Walmart they were the "Better Home and Garden" brand.  Two of the panels were sheer white to bring in a nice summer breeze and the other two panels were that I had them up for a while in a light brown give a light and airy feel. I feel just a simple change of curtains already brightens the room.

3rd,  Any excuse to get my sewing machine out is a great way to refresh a space.  I made some new pillow covers using thrifted material I found at my local Salvation Army and made a ribbon to go around my boxwood wreath using the same material.

4th Cleaning or buy a new rug for your entryway is a great way to get rid of the old and add some new.  I bought this rug at Walmart as well and very affordable.

Finally,  add pretty much anything that screams spring I add this boxwood wreath, a vintage church I already own along with a plant inside a crock I pulled from another room.

Summer Farmhouse | Master Bedroom Refresh

I love keeping my home simple but, I love refreshing it every season and this includes summer.  I try to be stylish with my decorating and frugal at the same time.  I love Pottery Barn but, as you can imagine I do not have they pocket book for the price tag(s), you will never find me spending hundreds of dollars on mirrors and silk flowers.
To create a summer, cozy bedroom I brought in fresh flowers and foliage from my garden and bought a few house items from the Salvation Army which includes a glass milk glass jar, wicker basket, and Ironstone white pitchers!
When I created my refresh I incorporate with what I have and Peonies scream Summer, along with daises or any flowers from gardens around your home.

I added touches of the outdoors to create looks I love and emphasize I what makes me feel special.

I am pleased how everything turned out.  I did buy a summer stripe blanket from Ikea and made 2 Farmhouse pillow covers to add some touch of my favorite color blue.

Thrift Store Spring Center Piece | Frugal Farmhouse Spring Centerpiece

I found this wooden small crate at my local Salvation Army.  I sanded it down and painted it with white chalk paint.  Next I sanded it again to give that rustic/farmhouse feel.  I sealed the crate with a sealant and place my Target Dollar Spot find along with some left over spring flowers and greenery.  This Salvation Army find it perfect for Spring and Easter and makes beautiful centerpiece!

My Thanksgiving Tablescape-2015

Even though, we are spending today at my In laws house for Thanksgiving I decide to still decorate my table for four to see if I have items such as china, glasses, silverware to host in the future.

These sunflower napkin holders I had for years, and I love them.  They are still perfect for the Fall/Autumn season and I may even use during the Holidays.
I did not have many matching wine glasses, but I did find some nice ones from the Dollar Tree and did not have to break the bank.

Also, I found theses gold charges at the Dollar Tree and they match my china well.

My china is from Mikasa called "Invitation Platinum"  and I am still in love with it after 15 years.  The only bummer is I wish I had more pieces.

Did you decorate your Thanksgiving Table this year are you planning to do this Holiday Season I love to know!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Home Tour

I am sad, Halloween is over but, Fall is in "Full Swing"  Thanksgiving will be here in 3 weeks and that means lots of love, family and friends.  I do not have much Thanksgiving Decor but, some to make my home inviting and festive for the late Fall Season.
I swapped out my Scarecrow lady and replaced it with this cute turkey, hope my dog does not eat it!
I keep a lot of my Fall Decor including my beloved Pilgrim.
 Gobble, Gobble turkey's everywehere.
Thanksgiving decor is not complete unless you have lots of Pilgrims.

Found this little Thanksgiving sign at my local Goodwill.
Plants need to feel loved with Fall decor.
Give Thanks Turkey door wreath is very inviting.

Finally, Mr. Turkey is on the porch to greet all guest this season!
