Basic Farm Burgers a Family Favorite!

Making burgers from scratch does not have to be hard it is actually really easy.  Not only making these burgers are easy they are fresh and you know exactly what you are feeding your family.  These delicious burgers and very flavorful and does not have a “game”taste.   I used fresh venison but beef works well they are awesome and your family will love them. .


  • 1 pound of farm fresh beef or venison
  • 1 large egg; beaten
  • 1/4 cup of fine breadcrumbs 
  • 1 tablespoon of grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon of grated jalapenos (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic; finely chopped 
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose Greek seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper 
  • 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 4 hamburger buns 
  • 1 tablespoon of grass feed butter
Combine your 1st ten ingredients and blend well.  Shape your mixture into 4 patties.  In a cast iron over medium heat add a bit of butter and melt.  Once your skillet is hot add each bun and lightly cook on each side.  When all your buns bottom and tops are lightly cooked set aside.   Add more bits of butter and cook each patty for 8 minutes each side.  Serve patty on bun along with desire toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and/or cheese.
