With the Spring Weather here in Michigan you know what that means, it means tons of happening such as end the year school activities, baseball games and dance commitments and did I mention graduation parties and weddings. This time of year can be extremely difficult and stressful time. Every week I am booked solid and there is little down time, Yikes! I feel overwhelmed and stress out pretty much most of the week. Now it is crucial for us to find ways to de-stress and feel refresh before Monday each week. I put together a list to incorporate 5 things through the week to keep us sane and balance.
1.) Eating Healthy and Well-making sure you eat tons fruits and vegetables it is very important and essential. When you feel stressed force yourself to drink tons of water at the end of then day in order to not fill tired and dehydrated. Try to avoid water with chlorine and fluoride, use filter water. I love drinking tea as well to help with sleep, relaxation or as a pick me up without the caffeine. When I have a lot on my to-do list I make sure to incorporate a smoothie in your daily diet to get extra nutrients and calories.
2.) When I am stress focus on hygiene, I love getting a manicure/ pedicure and of course a facial, you can do this on your own or a professional. Try to use beauty product that are natural and avoid chemicals. Also, when you are stress- stay away from wearing lots of clothing and jewelry it will weigh you down and not help with circulate. Finally good oral hygiene is important to decrease bacterial growth, try using natural toothpaste and consider oil pulling.
3.) When I am overwhelm communication is key! You can call, text, write, etc. I love writing on pretty paper love notes to my love ones, write gratitude letters to those to show you care and love them. Think positive and talk with encouragement. Having a positive attitude will make others happy around you!
4.) Exercise is a great stress reliever and I try to do daily. Now that it is spring consider a walk, run or bike ride. Make exercise a habit and encourage others to join you. However, make sure you do give yourself quiet time to reflect on like by praying, journeying or meditating.
5.) Keeping my home in order helpful in feeling refresh and de-stress. When my home is not in good order I definitely feel stress and overwhelmed. Also, I love diffusing Frankincense and Lavender to create a calming, connective environment. My goal is to add lighter colors in my home and more plants to create a spa event and give more oxygen.
