I love to give my Ford Explorer a deep cleaning ever season and fall is a perfect time to deep cleaning before the cold winter months set in. Here is my step-by-step car deep cleaning detail.
First and foremost decide what cleaner you are to use on your car. I love using Castile soap, vinegar, and a mild dish soap. I use soft sponges, cloths and a Shop vac.
Like any cleaning product I work from the top to the bottom and inside and out.
When cleaning the outside of my vehicle I rinse the entire car with a hose, removing any loose leaves, dirt and grime including bugs. Then a fill a bucket with warm soapy water and start from the roof working in circular motion with a sponge to clean my car. Next, I rinse the car completely with the hose.
Now it is time to dry the car; this is an essential step to make it look spic and span. I use a super-absorbent towel (old towels will work fine) starting from the top and dry all excess moisture.
The windows are key in having a nicely washed car use vinegar water solution and towels to clean and do not forget the mirrors and chrome parts.
You may want to put wax on your car for extra shine and a longer life on your vehicle paint job however, be sure to buff completely to avoid a dull shine and not look good at all!
Finally, add a nice are fresher or a spritz of your favorite scent.
