I am loving, playing with my knives and becoming better with my knife skills these days, however if you have a dull knife it will be very frustrating to chop, diced and mince. I have a lot of great knives in my kitchen and rediscovering them has been fun but, I needed to take them from dull to sharp.
First, clean Your Knives in warm soapy water but, never emerge or soak in the water. If you have rust or stubborn stains rub blade with lemon and salt before cleaning.
Now with your Sharpening Steal take knife and point away from you and take in an upward motion toward the tip.
Repeat the the process above on the other side of the knife.
Finally, I went down the Sharpening Steel in a downward motion, I felt it sharpened it better. Let me know if you are sharpening your knives this weekend.
