EASY WEEKNIGHT FAVORITE-SAUSAGE-STUFFED FRENCH LOAF

This is so easy and very yummy-It is sure to be a crowd or family favorite!  This recipe serves 4 and only takes about 29 minutes to make.

Ingredients:
  • 1 French Loaf
  • 1/2 pounds ground pork sausage
  • 1/2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large lightly beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large clove crushed garlic
First, cut loaf in half and save- hollow out the center and take hollow out pieced and process in the food processor to make bread crumbs
Cook sausage, beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until meat is browned, stirring until it crumbles, drain.  Add 1 cup of the bread crumbs , cheese and next 6 ingredients, STIR
Spoon meat mixture in French bread and put halves back together.
Melt butter in a saucepan, Add garlic and cook for about a minute.  Brush butter mixture over the top of loaf and wrap in aluminum foil.  Place loaf on baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.  Serve with a salad and Enjoy!
